Ms. Anthony earned her Bachelor of Arts in English cum laude from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She received her Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Law Review. After law school, Ms. Anthony clerked for the late Federal District Judge J. Spencer Letts, C.D. Cal.
Ms. Anthony began her career at Munger, Tolles & Olson in Los Angeles, then practiced appellate law at Horvitz & Levy in Encino, California before taking time to raise her three children. Her recent appellate work includes a victory in Lappe v. Superior Court, 232 Cal. App. 4th 774 (2014), in which the court held that declarations of disclosure in family law are not covered by the mediation privilege. Ms. Anthony was also part of the Howarth & Smith team that reversed the dismissal of a California False Claims Act case in State ex rel. Bartlett v. Miller, 243 Cal. App. 4th 1398 (2016).
Ms. Anthony is admitted to practice in the State of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
