LMH Visiting Fellows and internationally known Trial Lawyers
Suzelle Smith (LMH 1975) and Don Howarth discussed Law American
style before an audience of LMH law students, and outlined
details of the internship programmes that they offer to
students.

high-profile, high-stakes litigation throughout the U.S. and
internationally.
Led by founding partners Don Howarth and Suzelle M. Smith,
Howarth & Smith specializes in complex civil actions, including
business and commercial matters, antitrust cases, securities
fraud litigation, legal malpractice, law partnership disputes,
class actions, toxic torts and catastrophic personal injury
cases.
As part of their active commitment to legal scholarship and
continuing legal education, Mr. Howarth and Ms. Smith lecture
regularly at Oxford University and Cambridge University in
England, where they are Visiting Fellows of Lady Margaret Hall
and New Hall. Lecture topics cover issues that are particularly
relevant at the time, and which encourage discussion and debate.
